Straight-seam welded steel pipe, a pipe (so named because the welding place of the steel pipe is in a straight line) made of hot or cold rolled steel plate or steel strip and welded in a welding equipment by means of straight seam welding. The straight seam welded steel pipe has the advantages of simple production process, high production efficiency, low cost and rapid development.

classification

The straight seam welded steel pipe is the steel pipe whose weld line is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the steel pipe. Usually divided into metric electric welded steel pipe, electric welded thin wall pipe, transformer cooling tubing and so on. The welding process can be divided into submerged arc welding steel pipe and resistance welding (ERW) steel pipe.

Specification and weight calculation

Weight per meter W (kg/m) = (d-t) * t * 0.02466, note: d= outside diameter, t= wall thickness; Common specifications and weights are shown in the following table:

Use for straight seam welded steel pipe

The straight seam welded steel pipe is mainly used in tap water engineering, petrochemical industry, chemical industry, electric power industry, agricultural irrigation and urban construction. For liquid transport: water supply and drainage. Gas transportation: gas, steam, liquefied petroleum gas. For structure: for pile driving pipe, as a bridge; Wharf, road, building structure pipe, etc.
